About Dr. Sharon Novy
Hi. My name is Dr. Sharon Novy, and I’m one of the two pediatricians with over 23 years of experience at Children’s Oasis Pediatrics in Gilbert.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and went to medical school at Northwestern University. At that point, I really needed to thaw out, so I came to Phoenix to do my residency and never left. We believe strongly in the importance of preventative care and immunizations and value long-term relationships with our families. I’ve even been practicing long enough that former patients are now bringing us their own kids.
I like to try to blend the science and the art of medicine together in each visit. The science is based on evidence-based recommendations from the Academy of Pediatrics, and the art is the flexibility in our interactions that take into account the differences in each child and family.
When I’m not in the office, I’m usually spending time with my family, spoiling my basset hounds, or looking for a great restaurant or recipe. Chicago food and Italian foods are my go-tos. I also love sewing, embroidery, and travel. Italy is my favorite. I have two adult sons and live with my husband and basset hounds in Chandler.
