Pediatric Billing Manager
Experience in medical billing and management is required. Responsibilities include oversight and management of the billing department, including its staff of 6 billing specialists. Works closely with the practice manager. Leads various duties to maintain the integrity and consistency of daily billing, accounts receivable, collections and coding processes. Responsibilities of the billing department include chart review, claims processing, payment reconciliation, insurance eligibility, communication with the medical provider team, insurance companies and with patient families. Pediatric Front Office Team Member
Performs various duties related to patient check-in and check-out functions including scheduling, greeting patients, insurance verification, collection of co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Pediatric Medical Provider (MD, DO, PA, NP)
Thriving pediatric practice with 20 providers including a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Performs various duties related to pediatric patient care, including wellness visits, acute sick visits, chronic care, mental health care and minor in-office procedures. No hospital rounding. Triage nurses (RNs) available both during business hours and after-hours; no mommy-call. Shared call schedule with approximately 1 Saturday every other month. Pediatric Office Manager
The office manager for Children’s Oasis Pediatrics is the administrative/billing coordinator for our 2 provider private practice team. Applicant must have good people skills and experience with medical billing. Managerial experience is a plus. Our office manager is “working manager” and should expect to occasionally cover the front desk.
This is a full-time position and hours are roughly M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises the daily operation of the office.
- Keeps office level accounting, working with CPA. Runs financial reports and analysis regularly as requested.
- Fosters teamwork between staff and physicians.
- Re-allocates staff resources as appropriate based on daily physician schedules, time-off, and capacity.
- Provides assistance to office staff members in order to ensure the office runs orderly for the physicians and patients.
- Responsible for managing personnel related activities including, scheduling hours, accurate timekeeping, attendance, time off requests, leave of absences, employee relations issues, performance evaluations and overtime management.
- Manages office level billing procedures, patient registration, diagnosis coding, applicable collection of co-payment and outstanding balances from patients while ensuring full compliance with established cash control policies and procedures. Submits claims to our EMR billing and oversees claim denials.
- Functions as the liaison between physicians and venders for the office. Works with ancillary services and/or renters which reside in the office space.
- Assists in the recruiting, hiring and training and development of staff.
- Ensure seamless customer service to our patients and help services work efficiently.
- Responsible for overseeing office purchases and payment.
- Ensures that patients are treated courteously by office staff and that other visitors are screened and properly directed. Promotes a customer service orientation among staff members.
- Maintains the physical property and equipment of the office including arranging for routine and emergency maintenance with landlord and outside vendors.
- Ensures office is in compliance with regulatory requirements including: safety, OSHA, HIPAA, employment and labor laws, state and federal guidelines.
- Actively participates in personal development to increase knowledge.
- Oversee marketing, visibility of the office.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
