After Hours Triage

At Children’s Oasis Pediatrics, we understand that kids don’t only get sick from 8 to 5. That’s why we offer after-hours pediatric triage with nurses who have been with our practice since the very beginning. They know our families, understand our approach, and give guidance based on American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) best practices as well as our specific office protocols.

We want parents to feel supported, calm, and confident—day or night.

When to Call After Hours

Please save routine questions, prescription refills, billing questions, and follow-up concerns for our daytime staff. But sometimes urgent symptoms happen at night, and you need trusted advice right away.

When that happens, simply call our main office number and follow the prompts to have one of our triage nurses call you back.

How Our After-Hours Triage Nurses Can Help

Our experienced pediatric triage nurses can guide you through common urgent questions, such as:

  • “Do I need to go to urgent care tonight, or can this wait until morning?”
  • “If we do need to go somewhere, which urgent care or ER is best for children?”
  • “My child has new symptoms—what should I do right now?”
  • “What can I give or do at home to help my child feel better until I can call for an appointment in the morning?”

They use evidence-based information from the AAP symptom care database and our doctor’s protocols, along with your child’s history in our practice, to help you make safe decisions. It is hard to “stump” them, but if you do, they are backed up by an on call physician!
